Delta Robotics is an early-stage hardware startup based in Lubbock, Texas, developing artificial-muscle actuators and validation tools for robotics and prosthetics. The company has raised a pre-seed round led by the Dallas-based accelerator Health Wildcatters and describes itself as a small team building toward broader release of its technology.
Its lead product, ThermoFlex, is an electrically actuated artificial muscle built from Nitinol shape-memory alloy, designed for solid-state contraction and a force-to-weight ratio suited to humanoid-scale robotics; a ThermoFlex Mk.I kit and Nitinol spring components are sold for early testing. AeroFlex is a companion actuator built as an open-source, McKibben-style pneumatic artificial muscle for lower-cost applications. Protoboard is a hardware design and validation tool built on the Universal Hardware Description standard, meant to let engineers verify actuator designs before manufacturing.
Delta Robotics targets developers of humanoid robots and bionic devices who need compliant, high-force actuators as alternatives to conventional servo motors, and maintains a public Discord community for early users of its hardware.
