The company recently published the full text of its Master Plan Part 4, placing AI and humanoid robots at the center of its strategy. Soon after, images of a possible new Optimus prototype surfaced online — sporting a gold finish, human–robot dialogue features, and more dexterous hands. Tesla also launched a “TeslaAI” Weibo account, while CEO Elon Musk told the All-In Summit that the in-development Optimus V3 will feature a more agile hand design, an AI “brain,” and could be ready for mass production.

Sanhua Intelligent Controls
Founded in 1994, Zhejiang-based Sanhua specializes in thermal management systems for buildings, appliances, and electric vehicles. Leveraging its expertise in motors and actuators, Sanhua has expanded into bionic robot components. It is reportedly supplying rotary joint assemblies for Tesla’s humanoid robots, enabling flexible limb motion.
Top Group
Auto parts giant Top Group, established in 1983, produces chassis, interior systems, and smart-driving components. It has built a robotics-focused division around actuators and precision mechanics. Sources say Top Group provides linear joint assemblies for Optimus and is closely involved in joint module design and manufacturing.
Wuzhou New Spring
A precision manufacturing group founded in 1999, Wuzhou develops bearings and high-performance screws. With surging demand from robotics, it has invested heavily in planetary roller screws for humanoid joint drives. The company recently announced a $1.4 billion RMB fundraising plan to scale production, with Tesla listed among its early customers.
Zhenyu Technology
Zhenyu, a precision stamping specialist, has expanded into robotics through linear actuators and integrated bionic arms. Industry sources note that Zhenyu has been working with Tesla on linear actuator systems that combine motors, screws, and gear reducers.
Zhaowei Electromechanical
Shenzhen-based Zhaowei designs miniature drive systems for robotics, consumer electronics, and medical devices. In 2024 it unveiled a dexterous robotic hand with 17 active degrees of freedom, integrating motors, sensors, and controllers. Zhaowei is now a core supplier of dexterous hand modules for Tesla’s humanoid robots.
MOONS’ Industries
Shanghai-listed MOONS’ is a global leader in motion control systems. Its stepper and brushless motors hold top-three market share worldwide. With strong capabilities in hollow-cup motors, the company has been identified as a motor supplier for Optimus joints and fingers.
Rongtai Electric
Rongtai, founded in 2003, produces high-temperature insulation materials and has expanded into precision transmission components for EVs and robotics. In May it launched a dedicated humanoid robotics subsidiary and acquired stakes in screw and micro-drive companies. Rongtai is reportedly engaged in component supply and co-development with Tesla.
Tesla’s supply chain for humanoid robots spans thermal systems, actuators, drive screws, precision stamping, and dexterous hands — reflecting how China’s manufacturing ecosystem is positioning itself at the core of embodied AI.
