Tsinghua and CAS-Backed Robotics Firm Secures Over $1 Billion in Funding

Recently, the robotics company Zhongke Fifth Epoch announced the successful completion of its Series A1 and A2 funding rounds, raising over 1 billion yuan. The A1 round was backed by Xigao Investment, Bank of China’s BOAIC Fund, and Sanfeng Investment, while the A2 round saw investments from Xinneng Venture Capital, BOAIC Fund, Zhongshan Venture Capital, Hongruida Investment, Boyan Technology, and Jinchuang Investment.

This marks the fourth funding round for Zhongke Fifth Epoch, which aims to complete a total of seven rounds by 2026. Founded in September 2024, the company has already achieved significant milestones, including seed funding and multiple rounds of financing, with notable investors such as Sequoia China. The founding team, comprised of experts from Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, brings a strong academic background and extensive experience in artificial intelligence and robotics.

Looking ahead, Zhongke Fifth Epoch is focused on enhancing data efficiency in the field of embodied intelligence, having developed the innovative FAM series of models. The company has achieved remarkable success in international competitions, including top rankings in the WorldArena and CVPR 2026 challenges. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
