Company Overview

SkyMul Inc. is a construction technology company that began as a robotics start-up out of the Georgia Tech Robotics Institute in 2018 and now offers a drone-based digital twin platform for concrete construction alongside its own construction robots. It is based in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, in the Atlanta area; PitchBook lists its address as 147 Technology Parkway. The founder and CEO is Eohan George.

SkyMul's current platform builds digital replicas of jobsites from drone and LiDAR scans so that project teams can inspect work remotely, check quality and catch errors before concrete is poured. The website focuses on tilt-up, concrete and data-centre projects. Features include automated daily scan data for progress tracking, drawing-to-panel alignment that compares construction drawings with installed panels, colour-coded elevation heatmaps for tolerance checks, before-and-after comparisons, virtual site walks with remote tagging of field errors, alerts for misaligned embeds and anchor bolts, a daily reports portal and customised dashboards. SkyMul quotes quarter-inch accuracy for its digital twins and claims 30% less rework, more than two hours saved per day for superintendents and 10% faster closeout for owners. Equipment Journal reported in February 2026 that SkyMul aligns drone captures to drawings and control points to verify layout before pours, provides daily visual playback, overlays and verification reports, runs drone-in-a-box operations with approvals to fly in constrained airspace, and has moved from pilot projects to paid deployments.

The company's robotics line started with SkyTy, an autonomous rebar-tying system originally conceived as a swarm of drones that scan a rebar mat, build a map of intersections using computer vision and machine learning, and tie them in parallel; early company claims were 84% less labour and 2.4x faster processes. SkyTy was demonstrated at World of Concrete 2024 and, according to Equipment Journal, ties a rebar intersection in about 14 seconds compared with about 20 seconds for a worker; it went to its first real jobsite in 2023 to mark layout for rebar and post-tensioning cables. SkyMul's robotics page lists rebar tying and layout marking robots and describes them as prototypes that automate critical workflows, claiming 40% labour cost reduction for rebar tying.

According to PitchBook, SkyMul has five employees and is backed by investors and programmes including Cemex Ventures, Right Side Capital Management, Boomtown Innovation, the Center for Entrepreneurial Development and Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners, the city's autonomous technology test bed.
