Solid Launches Viewla IPC-16LTEII Security Camera Compatible with Three Carriers

On August 18, Solid released the Viewla IPC-16LTEII, a SIM-enabled security camera. This device can operate in areas without internet by simply inserting a SIM card and providing power. It supports networks from NTT Docomo, au, and SoftBank, with successful connectivity confirmed for Rakuten Mobile as well.

The Viewla IPC-16LTEII can record for approximately four weeks on a microSD card (sold separately) with a capacity of up to 128GB. Users can remotely access video footage via smartphones or PCs. The camera is designed to be waterproof and dustproof, making it suitable for outdoor installation. Optional features include a solar panel and recording via SolidCLOUD, which ensures no loss of footage.

The camera measures 58mm in width, 52mm in height, and 213mm in depth, with a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (Full HD). No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.

Editor's Note

The introduction of the Viewla IPC-16LTEII highlights the growing trend of mobile-enabled security solutions that cater to diverse connectivity needs. As more consumers seek flexible surveillance options, the ability to operate without traditional internet access could enhance market competitiveness. Stakeholders should monitor how this product influences consumer preferences and the broader security camera landscape.
