Kystdesign Signs Historic Agreement with DeepOcean on New E-ROV Technology
Kystdesign has entered into a landmark agreement with DeepOcean to supply cutting-edge E-ROV technology, responding to the increasing demand for fully electric remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) in upcoming inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) contracts. The deal includes the delivery of two ZEEROV IMR versions and one ZOROV observation ROV, with options for an additional six ZEEROV IMRs and three ZOROVs. Furthermore, the contract outlines the potential development of four specialized electric ROVs designed for more demanding construction tasks and operations in challenging ocean currents. The first units are expected to be delivered by January 2027. This agreement represents a significant advancement in E-ROV technology, aiming to enhance sustainability in offshore operations moving forward.
