Gritt Secures $32.4 Million to Develop Physical AI for Infrastructure Projects

Gritt has officially launched with $32.4 million in funding to develop an intelligent system that integrates robotics and AI for infrastructure projects. The funding includes a $26 million Series A round led by Obvious Ventures, with contributions from Union Square Ventures and Active Impact Investments, among others.

This initiative is significant as it addresses the labor shortages and productivity declines in the construction industry, which has seen a 46 percent drop in productivity. Gritt's technology allows robotic arms to connect with existing jobsite equipment, enabling precise material handling and decision-making in challenging outdoor environments.

Looking ahead, Gritt's adaptable system is already deployed on large-scale construction sites, capturing real-time data to enhance operational efficiency. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
