Agrobot
"From disruptive but practical approaches, we build smart farming machinery"
Spanish agricultural robotics company based in Huelva developing autonomous strawberry harvesters and insect vacuum robots for labor-scarce farms.
Agrobot, legally registered as Agrobot Soluciones Robóticas Agrícolas, S.L., is a Spanish agricultural robotics company headquartered in Huelva (Badajoz/Andalusia region), with operations also in Oxnard, California. Founded approximately in 2010 by Juan Bravo, the company is an early pioneer in autonomous harvesting machinery for fresh fruit. Its flagship product, the E-Series robotic strawberry harvester, features up to 24 independent robotic arms equipped with color and infrared depth sensors and GPU-based fruit ripeness assessment.
The E-Series can harvest up to 25,000 strawberries per day, operate 24/7, and replace 25–30 human pickers per unit. It is constructed from stainless steel and military-grade aluminum. The platform has been trialled by Driscoll's in California since 2015.
Beyond harvesting, Agrobot has developed the BugVac, an autonomous insect vacuum robot for pest control without chemicals, and a Solar Tow Tractor with integrated solar panels producing 42 hp for low-emission field towing. The company also offers contract R&D and engineering services for agri-tech innovators. Agrobot's work addresses chronic agricultural labor shortages and the push toward pesticide reduction.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
E-Series Strawberry Harvester
Autonomous multi-arm strawberry harvesting robot with up to 24 independent picking arms, GPU-based ripeness detection, and 24/7 field operation capability.
BugVac
Autonomous insect vacuum robot for chemical-free pest control in agricultural fields.
