Agility Robotics has announced a partnership with Nyobolt to integrate ultra-fast charging battery technology into its Digit 5 humanoid robot. This new battery system allows Digit 5 to operate for over 20 hours within a 24-hour period, significantly enhancing its productivity and efficiency.
The collaboration is crucial as it addresses the historical limitations of battery performance in autonomous robots, enabling longer operational windows and more productive shifts. With a 90-minute runtime and a rapid 9-minute charging time, Digit 5's battery system achieves a remarkable 10:1 run-to-charge ratio, improving the economic viability of deploying humanoid robots in various industries.
Early access to Digit 5 equipped with Nyobolt's technology is anticipated in the first half of 2027, with broader availability expected shortly thereafter. This advancement positions Agility Robotics to enhance its market presence, especially as it prepares for a public listing through its merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI.
