Unitree has introduced the G1+, an upgraded version of its humanoid robot, which features stronger motors, a movable neck, and improved sensing hardware. The base model is priced at $15,000, excluding tax and shipping, and focuses on enhancing everyday movement and interaction capabilities.
This launch is significant as it emphasizes the importance of hardware improvements in humanoid robots, particularly for tasks that require interaction, such as carrying objects or maintaining power during extended research sessions. The G1+ offers notable enhancements, including a 110% increase in peak torque at the shoulder and waist, and a 43% increase in maximum arm torque.
