US start-up founded in 2025 offering VR teleoperation software for humanoids and robot arms and turning each operator session into robot-learning training data.
Humanola is a US robotics software start-up that builds motion-data infrastructure for humanoid robot teleoperation. Its platform lets a human operator wearing a commercial VR headset control a robot remotely in real time, and converts every session into training data for robot learning. The company was started in June 2025 and describes itself as a Silicon Valley company; Dealroom lists San Francisco, while VCBacked lists Brooklyn.
The founder and CEO is Sanjar Atamuradov, an entrepreneur from Samarkand, Uzbekistan. According to Uzbekistan's IT Park, the founding team has three co-founders, including CTO Zhaoyuan Gu, PhD, and operations are run by COO Akbar Erkinov; the team had five members in late 2025, including two newly hired engineers, and the company was recruiting telepresence operators in Uzbekistan.
The product has three parts. The first is remote robot control: operators use XR headsets such as the Meta Quest series or Apple Vision Pro to drive a robot with low latency, served through regional edge servers in the United States, Asia and Europe. The second is a data pipeline that collects, cleans, annotates and converts session data, including motion, video, sensor streams and task labels, into data sets for training AI models for physical agents. The third is a unified robot API intended to work across humanoid and manipulator hardware. The teleoperation software is sold through RobotShop as Humanola VR Based Remote Teleoperation Software for Robots, listed at 5,500 US dollars, with compatibility for the Unitree G1 humanoid and Unitree robot dogs, the Booster T1 humanoid and the Piper robotic arm; multimodal data capture for AI training is marked there as coming soon. The platform itself is hosted at teleop.humanola.com.
IT Park reported that Humanola had two business-to-business customers developing humanoid robots and two early-stage sales, and that clients saw a 30 to 40 percent speed-up in development from ready-made data sets. Target users named by the company include robot developers and researchers and operators in logistics, warehousing and agriculture, and it frames remote teleoperation as a way to supply labour for hazardous or remote work while generating data for future autonomous robots.
In November 2025 Humanola announced a seed round of 2.5 million US dollars from Link Ventures, Bad Ideas Fund and Georgia Tech's venture fund, with angel investor Akmal Paiziev. The funds were earmarked for expanding the team, speeding up platform development and extending remote robot control to new industries and use cases.
