On November 4, Tencent launched its new AI model, Hy4, which incorporates advanced visual understanding and computer-use capabilities. The model can interpret charts and documents, reason across multiple images, and operate various command-line tools and graphical interfaces, making it versatile for applications like Blender and CAD software.
The introduction of Hy4 is significant as it enhances Tencent's AI offerings, allowing for more complex tasks across different software environments. With 770 billion parameters, Hy4 is designed to improve productivity in office tasks, financial analysis, and game development, supported by product teams that train and evaluate its performance in real-world scenarios.
Tencent plans to release the model's weights and a system card soon, while maintaining standard API pricing at $0.834 per million input tokens and $2.501 per million output tokens. The company also offers a limited free usage quota for Hy4 integrated into WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy until November 15, with a lower-cost flash model in development.
