MIT Assistant Professor Thomas Rose, Expert in Archaeometallurgy, Passes Away at 37

MIT Assistant Professor Thomas Rose, a specialist in ancient metallurgy, tragically died on September 2 due to injuries from a bicycle accident in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The incident is under investigation and occurred at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Massachusetts Avenue. Rose, who was 37 years old, had recently joined MIT as the POSCO Professor of Materials Science and was in the process of establishing his laboratory.
