Cognex has announced a definitive agreement to acquire RealSense for $500 million, marking a significant move into the robotic perception sector. The integration of RealSense's advanced depth-sensing technology and Cognex's machine vision expertise is expected to create a comprehensive visual intelligence platform. This platform will enhance capabilities in industrial ID, 2D and 3D machine vision measurement, and robotic navigation, thereby addressing the full spectrum of Physical AI applications.
