Brightray has announced plans for a 10-megawatt AI data center in Indiana, utilizing factory-built modules to aim for a one-year delivery timeline. The project, revealed on October 14, involves a letter of intent with a US mission-critical infrastructure partner to manufacture and integrate data hall modules while construction progresses on-site.
This initiative is significant as it seeks to expedite the deployment of infrastructure necessary for high-density AI computing, with compatibility planned for Nvidia’s GB300 platform. However, the project is still in its early stages, with nonbinding agreements and construction contingent on final specifications and approvals.
Looking ahead, Brightray plans to complete pre-installation and integration of modules during manufacturing, followed by on-site assembly and commissioning. The facility will adhere to Tier III design standards, targeting a power usage effectiveness (PUE) below 1.2. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
