Cuby Technologies, Inc. is an American construction technology company headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, founded in 2018 by Aleks Gampel and Oleg Kandrashou. The company is addressing the global housing shortage by developing and operating a novel manufacturing system that brings factory-grade automation directly to construction sites through deployable Mobile Micro-Factories (MMFs).
The core innovation of Cuby's approach is the Mobile Micro-Factory: a transportable, rapidly deployable manufacturing facility that can be erected in a matter of days. Each MMF contains dozens of automated stations, machines, and robots, roughly half procured off the shelf and half custom-designed by Cuby, enabling homes to be manufactured and assembled on or near the build site. Key stations within an MMF include insulated glass unit manufacturing, stud cutting, pile welding, wall module assembly, and door panel assembly, among others.
Cuby's platform integrates hardware and software to coordinate the manufacturing workflow. Software systems break complex construction tasks into simple, repeatable steps that can be executed by workers with minimal prior construction experience, reducing overall labor hours by up to 10x compared to traditional methods. This model simultaneously improves build quality, reduces costs, shortens delivery timelines, and makes housing production more predictable and scalable.
The company targets both single-family and multi-family residential construction segments and has designed its MMF system to serve local markets within a region, reducing transportation costs associated with traditional off-site modular construction. Cuby maintains an R&D center in Belarus and is progressing toward its first U.S. deployment in Nevada.
Cuby has raised $23.4 million in venture funding to develop its technology and scale factory deployment. Investors include Cemex Ventures and others active in construction technology. The company's long-term plan calls for deploying 275 factories across the United States and internationally over the next decade, with each factory serving a local market.
