Agility Robotics Expands Digit Humanoid Robot Use with GXO and 30 Prospective Customers
- Published
Agility Robotics is broadening the deployment of its Digit humanoid robot in collaboration with logistics firm GXO, which has signed a new agreement to implement Digit at two additional facilities in the U.S. This follows Digit's successful operation at GXO's Georgia site, where it has handled over 100,000 totes since the start of their multi-year agreement in June 2024.
The significance of this expansion lies in Agility's strategy to demonstrate the effectiveness of humanoid robots in specific operations before scaling their use across various customer locations. In addition to GXO, Agility is engaged with three major manufacturing clients to explore specific industrial applications, although their identities remain undisclosed.
Agility Robotics plans to initiate operations at the new GXO sites in early 2027 using Digit 4, transitioning to the newly launched Digit 5 as it becomes available. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
