Agility Robotics has achieved a significant milestone in its IPO journey as shareholders of Churchill Capital Corp XI approved the SPAC's merger with the humanoid robot developer. Over 84% of votes at the special meeting on November 2 supported the transaction, which is set to close on November 4, allowing the combined entity to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker AGLT starting November 5.
This merger is crucial for Agility, as it is expected to provide approximately $465 million in gross capital to support its commercial expansion and manufacturing capabilities. Although this figure is lower than the initially anticipated $620 million, it still reflects strong investor confidence. Agility's existing shareholders will retain their equity in the new company, which is valued at $2.5 billion pre-money.
Agility Robotics is poised to enter public markets with its Digit robots already operational in nine customer environments, primarily in logistics and manufacturing. The company plans to begin deploying its Digit 4 robots in early 2027, transitioning to the newer Digit 5 model as it becomes available, with significant orders already in place indicating strong market interest.
