Shenzhen-based Ruoyu Technology has successfully completed a nine-figure RMB Pre-A funding round, led by Sunway Communication, as reported on October 15. Other investors in this round include Jinmu Capital, Qindao Capital, Huanghai Capital, and Zhongchuang Capital. Founded in 2023 and incubated by Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, Ruoyu focuses on developing AI systems that enhance robotic perception, task planning, and physical action control.
This funding is significant as it will enable Ruoyu to enhance its AI capabilities and gather operational data from real-world deployments. The company’s Jiutian robot “brain” integrates cloud-based planning with local perception and control, showcasing its innovative approach to robotics. The initial commercial application of Ruoyu's technology involves robotic refueling, with testing currently underway for an explosion-protected system at a station in Foshan.
Looking ahead, Ruoyu plans to utilize the funding to further improve its robot AI and expand its commercialization efforts. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
