Beijing consumer robotics startup behind the Vbot quadruped robot dog, backed by a near-RMB-500-million Pre-A funding round.
Vita Dynamics (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., operating under the consumer brand Vbot, was founded in 2024 by CEO Yu Yinan together with co-founders Song Wei and Zhao Zhelun. The company positions itself as China's first consumer-grade embodied-intelligence robotics company, combining what it calls a full-stack technology chain of body intelligence, spatial intelligence, and agent intelligence to build robotic products for indoor and outdoor home use. Vita Dynamics maintains research and development centers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
The company's flagship and currently sole released product is the Vbot Super Robot Dog, a consumer quadruped robot marketed as requiring no handheld remote control. According to the product page on the company's official site, the robot measures 613mm long by 339mm wide by 569mm tall while standing, weighs approximately 16 kilograms, and carries a maximum onboard payload of 12 kilograms with a towing capacity of up to 100 kilograms. Battery life is rated at roughly 3 to 5 hours of active movement and up to 7.5 hours on standby. The robot is equipped with a binocular depth camera, a 360-degree 16-line lidar, a four-microphone array, 360-degree high-precision UWB positioning, and an onboard AI compute platform rated at 128 TOPS. Media coverage reported a retail price of RMB 12,988 for the initial release, though this figure is not separately confirmed on the official product page.
In May 2026, Vita Dynamics announced a Pre-A funding round of nearly RMB 500 million, led by DCP (Dongfang Jiafu), Huatai Zijin, and Fosun RZ Capital, with SAIC-affiliated Shangqi Capital and Minghui Zhiyuan also participating, alongside continued investment from existing shareholders Cathay Capital, Capital Today, and Hillhouse Ventures. Company communications state that presale orders for the Vbot Super Robot Dog reached 6,540 units, with presale sales value approaching RMB 100 million, ahead of a planned domestic mass-production and delivery start in April 2026 and a global rollout beginning in the second quarter targeting North America, Europe, and the Middle East. The company has also been reported in Chinese media as beginning parallel development of a humanoid robot, though no named humanoid product has been publicly released. Vita Dynamics operates a public GitHub organization under the name VitaDynamics, containing repositories related to ROS2 messaging, depth-camera SDK integration, and lidar drivers used in its robotics stack.
