Magmotor Plans Major Expansion to Triple Income and Workforce in 150th Year

Magmotor Technologies Inc., founded in 1876, is set to undergo a significant expansion aimed at tripling its income and workforce. The company, which specializes in custom AC and DC fan motors, has a long history of adapting to market changes and maintaining customer loyalty, particularly in industries like aerospace and defense.

The importance of this expansion lies in Magmotor's commitment to high-quality designs and customer service, which have allowed it to thrive for over a century. With many of its products lasting 15 to 20 years, the company has built a reputation for reliability, especially in sectors that still require brush motors, such as NASA and the space industry.

Looking ahead, Magmotor plans to hire a new generation of employees to learn from its experienced workforce as it continues to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. The company aims to bring some manufacturing back to the U.S. while maintaining partnerships in China, indicating a strategic approach to balancing costs and quality in its production processes. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.

Editor's Note

Magmotor's planned expansion reflects a broader trend in the manufacturing sector where companies are increasingly focusing on quality and customization. As industries evolve, the ability to adapt and innovate is crucial for maintaining competitiveness. This move may also signal a shift towards reshoring some manufacturing capabilities, which could impact supply chains and labor markets.
