Strama-MPS U.S. supplies and supports the complete Strama-MPS portfolio in North America, which includes: rotary transfer machines and machining centres for high-volume precision part production; body-in-white (BIW) automation and turnkey body shop systems for automotive structural assemblies; assembly and test benches for complex sub-systems; e-mobility lines for battery module and pack assembly and for stator/rotor production of electric motors; and medical-technology automation for device assembly and validation. Engineering services such as line integration, commissioning and after-sales support are delivered locally.
The Strama-MPS Group received the TISAX information-security certification in May 2021, a credential required by major automotive OEMs for their supply chain, and was awarded the Top 100 innovation seal in 2021 recognising particularly innovative German mid-sized companies. The group also received a Bosch Regional Supplier Award through its U.S. subsidiary, reflecting the quality of its North American customer relationships.
Primary end markets served in North America include traditional combustion-engine powertrain components, e-mobility (battery systems, e-motors), body-in-white structures, and railroad technology. The company's Duncan, SC facility positions it close to major automotive manufacturing clusters in the U.S. Southeast and Midwest.
The U.S. entity operates as both a sales office and an engineering support hub, with local project managers coordinating between American customers and the engineering teams in Straubing, Slavonski Brod (Croatia), and Shanghai. This proximity to customers reduces lead times for engineering changes and commissioning support compared to a purely export-only model.
