U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC is the American subsidiary of Tsubakimoto Chain Co., Ltd. of Japan, a chain and power-transmission manufacturer founded in 1917 that began producing roller chain in 1923. The U.S. operation was established in 1971 and runs six manufacturing plants: Holyoke and Chicopee, Massachusetts; Sandusky, Ohio; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Anoka, Minnesota; and Portland, Tennessee, backed by service centers in the Chicago area, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Rialto, and Houston.
The Milwaukee plant produces the KabelSchlepp line of plastic and steel cable and hose carriers, sold under names including MONO, QuickTrax, UNIFLEX Advanced, and TKA, plus FLATVEYOR and CLEANVEYOR carriers for cleanroom use and the ROBOTRAX system built for three-dimensional cable guidance on industrial robot arms; inner widths run from 6 mm to 1,650 mm. The Holyoke and Sandusky plants supply ANSI and engineering-class roller chains, including the Lambda lube-free and Titan harsh-duty series, plus smart-tooth sprockets, ATRA-FLEX flexible couplings, POWERLOCK locking devices, backstops, cam clutches, and the Zip Chain linear actuator.
The Wheeling, Illinois facility holds ISO 9001 certification, and the company belongs to the Power Transmission Distributors Association and the Engineering Chain Manufacturers Association. Its ProService and ProInstall programs provide chain inspection and installation support.
