Danish company Global AGV has introduced the L20, an autonomous forklift truck capable of handling loads up to two tons. This new model, developed in response to customer demand, increases lifting capacity by 40% while maintaining a compact footprint, making it suitable for both production environments and crowded warehouses.
The L20 is an advancement of the existing L14 model, which had a maximum capacity of 1,400 kg. The new forklift is particularly beneficial for industries like food processing, where heavy bulk bags are common. The first three units of the L20 are already operational in international production facilities, including two in Iceland, where they transport heavy pallets of fish.
Global AGV's L20 is designed to enhance productivity by allowing forklift operators to focus on more value-creating tasks. The company claims that the AGV can pay for itself in less than a year by freeing up employees for other responsibilities, thereby increasing overall efficiency in operations.
