DF Automation & Robotics Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian manufacturer of automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots, headquartered in Skudai, Johor. It was founded in 2012 by three Malaysian engineers with the aim of building affordable AGVs, and describes itself as a manufacturer and solution provider for logistics automation.
The AMR range is organised into series by payload handling method. The Zalpha series is a configurable medium-payload vehicle supporting towing, lifting and hooking; Zyra handles a range of trolleys, navigates narrow aisles and carries up to 500 kg; Zoei is designed to work alongside collaborative robot arms; Zetha is a pallet-truck-based AMR for ground pallets; Zamma (models L16 and L20) is an autonomous stacker for pallets on the ground, at stations and in racking; the LF series is an autonomous lifter for standard racking transfer; and Titan is the highest-payload model in the line. Accessories and add-ons include the GA-REF-S reflector, the SA-RIO-CW remote I/O module, the SA-IC-LC lift interface controller, the SA-CB-S wireless call panel and the SA-HG-TG trolley guide. Software products are NavWiz navigation and DFleet fleet management.
Company milestones list expansion into Asia and Europe in 2013, the launch of Zalpha and NavWiz in 2016, an automotive line installation in India in 2018, the trackless Zetha AMR in 2021, and Titan 2.0 with a brand refresh in 2023. Published case studies cover tyre manufacturing intralogistics, IC tray transfer between stations at a semiconductor plant and pallet movement from production to packaging at a plastic pallet maker, with no customers named. Awards cited include the IET Malaysia Gold Industry Excellence Award (2022) and a Good Design Award Japan (2018). The company also completed two projects under Malaysia's National Technology and Innovation Sandbox programme.
