Recently, Duan Yifan, a doctoral graduate from the University of Science and Technology of China, announced the establishment of Lingxi Zhiyong in Shanghai, aimed at revolutionizing industrial embodied intelligence. The company has developed the ROSS Harness system, which integrates the ROSS and CONWAY industrial models to address the engineering challenges of deploying embodied intelligence in real production lines.
The significance of this development lies in the fact that the deployment success rate of pre-trained models in actual production environments is generally below 60%, with operational costs remaining high. Lingxi Zhiyong's ROSS Harness system is designed to convert probabilistic action generation capabilities into stable, controllable, and reusable execution abilities in the physical world, thus enhancing the reliability of industrial robots.
Looking ahead, Lingxi Zhiyong plans to refine its technology further, focusing on the continuous execution of tasks despite changing conditions. The company aims to establish a robust framework for task execution that includes model abstraction, skill abstraction, and layered safety monitoring. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
Editor's Note
The launch of Lingxi Zhiyong by Duan Yifan highlights a critical advancement in the field of industrial embodied intelligence. As companies seek to integrate more intelligent automation solutions, the ability to deploy reliable and efficient robotic systems will be paramount. This development could significantly influence the competitive landscape in industrial automation and robotics.
