A team of students and faculty advisors from the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute AirLab has achieved a significant milestone by advancing to the next stage of the GoAERO Competition. Their aerial rescue vehicle, the TRAAV-160 flyer, was recognized as a Stage 1 winner, alongside ten other competing teams. This advancement highlights the innovative efforts of the Tartan Air Rescue team in developing technology aimed at enhancing aerial rescue operations. The competition, which focuses on advancing drone technology for emergency response, underscores the growing importance of robotics in critical situations.
