South Korean university research laboratory focusing on haptics, exoskeletons, rehabilitation robotics, and autonomous ground vehicles.
The BioRobotics Laboratory at Korea University of Technology and Education (KoreaTech/KUT) is a university research group based in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province. The lab conducts research at the intersection of robotics and biological systems, with three core focus areas: haptics and telerobotics enabling humans to feel and manipulate remote or virtual environments; exoskeleton development using lightweight actuators and novel transmission systems; and autonomous ground vehicle perception, planning, and motion control. Application domains include robot-assisted surgery, physical rehabilitation, human augmentation, hazardous environment exploration, and agricultural robotics.
The lab collaborates with international robotics research institutions and has developed platforms such as the CREABO mobile robot.
