Recently, Guangdong Tianji Intelligent System Co., Ltd. announced the completion of a B++ round of strategic financing, led by Ant Group and Sofina Asia Private Ltd., with continued investment from existing shareholders including Tencent. The new funding will primarily focus on technology research and development, large-scale production, and global market expansion.
This financing round follows a previous B round and B+ round completed in May, which raised a total of 1 billion yuan, led by Hillhouse Capital and Meituan, with Tencent and other investors participating. The entry of Ant Group is noteworthy, as the company has been actively investing in the embodied intelligence sector this year, recently leading a significant financing round for tactile perception company Daimeng.
Tianji Intelligent, established in 2015, has developed a comprehensive product system around core force control technology, including MEMS joint torque sensors and humanoid robotic arms. The company aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 50,000 units by 2026, with over 10,000 orders already in hand from 45 global customers in the humanoid robotics sector.
