AMD has announced its agreement to acquire World Labs, a spatial-intelligence company led by Fei-Fei Li, in an all-stock deal valued at approximately $8.2 billion. This acquisition, revealed on September 28, is expected to close by the end of 2026, pending regulatory approvals and customary conditions. Following the closure, Li will assume the role of AMD’s executive vice president and chief scientist, reporting directly to CEO Lisa Su.
