Teledyne Marine has launched the SeaBat T51-P, a portable variant of its SeaBat T51 multibeam echosounder. This new model combines the established sonar performance of the T51 with a portable processor designed for use in exposed marine environments, making it suitable for surveys from small boats and dinghies.
The SeaBat T51-P features an industry-leading 800 kHz performance that provides full-swath coverage of up to 170 degrees. It retains key features from the SeaBat product range, including automated sonar controls and adaptive gates, which enhance data collection efficiency and accuracy. This development is particularly significant for hydrographic surveyors who require reliable data in challenging coastal environments.
Teledyne Marine aims to address the growing demand for flexible hydrographic survey solutions, especially in Asia, where open-boat surveying is common. The SeaBat T51-P is now available for order and delivery, providing survey companies with a practical option to expand their capabilities across various applications.
