Shenhai Zhiren, a Guangzhou-based deep-sea robotics company, has successfully raised 500 million yuan in a Series A funding round. New investors include GGV Capital and a fund backed by TotalEnergies, while existing investors such as BYD and Lightspeed China also participated in the round.
This funding is significant as it will support the development of Shenhai Zhiren's innovative underwater robotics, including the newly launched SEAgent 1.0 model. The company’s Phoenix 600 cable-burial robot, capable of operating at depths of 3,000 meters, has already secured a 100 million yuan order from a telecommunications group in the UAE.
Looking ahead, the focus will be on the deployment of the SEAgent 1.0 and the continued expansion of Shenhai Zhiren's capabilities in deep-sea robotics. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
Editor's Note
