Nori Robotics Launches Affordable Nori A3 Humanoid Robot Priced at $1,688

Nori Robotics, based in San Francisco, has introduced the Nori A3, an American-assembled humanoid robot priced at $1,688. Set to begin shipping this fall, the Nori A3 aims to provide consumers with an affordable option for home automation, featuring a wheeled base and 19 degrees of freedom for various household tasks.

The significance of the Nori A3 lies in its low-cost approach to humanoid robotics, traditionally associated with high price tags and advanced hardware. With capabilities such as fetching food, pouring drinks, and folding clothes, the Nori A3 is designed for practical household applications, making it an accessible entry point into physical AI and home robotics.

Looking ahead, Nori Robotics has begun production, with the first units shipped on July 21. As demand may increase, the company’s historical practice of small production batches could impact availability. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.

Editor's Note

The introduction of the Nori A3 reflects a growing trend towards affordable home robotics, which could reshape consumer expectations and market dynamics. As companies explore cost-effective solutions, the potential for widespread adoption of robotic assistance in daily life increases, prompting a reevaluation of automation in household settings.
