EVENT OVERVIEW
ProMat 2027 takes place April 19–21, 2027 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Organized by MHI, the US material handling, logistics and supply chain trade association, ProMat is held in odd-numbered years and alternates with MODEX in Atlanta. MHI describes it as the largest international manufacturing and supply chain show and conference held in the United States. The 2025 edition recorded 52,223 registered attendees from 143 countries and 1,160 exhibitors on 659,000 net square feet; for 2027, MHI projects more than 50,000 attendees and over 670,000 square feet of exhibits.
For robotics, ProMat is the main North American launch venue for warehouse automation: autonomous mobile robots, automated storage and retrieval systems, robotic piece-picking and palletizing, mobile manipulators and, increasingly, humanoid pilots for logistics. The show site lists more than 1,200 exhibits and 200 educational sessions. Keynotes open each morning in Grand Ballroom S100, starting with a panel on the 2027 MHI Annual Industry Report, followed by Jon McNeill of DVx Ventures and former Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski. Attendee registration is free, and an International Buyer Program offers matchmaking for overseas delegations.
