EVENT OVERVIEW
ROSCon Korea is the Korean regional edition of ROSCon, the developer conference for the Robot Operating System (ROS), run by local organizers under license from the Open Source Robotics Foundation. The second edition takes place February 17–19, 2027 at DGIST (Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology) in Daegu, organized by PinkLAB, XYZ and DGIST in cooperation with OSRF, according to the Open Source Robotics Alliance event calendar. It moves from the Seoul area to Daegu and grows from two days to three, with keynotes, technical presentations and hands-on workshops.
The inaugural ROSCon Korea was held January 21–22, 2026 at Kwangwoon University's Pangyo campus in Gyeonggi Province, co-hosted by PinkLAB, XYZ and Kwangwoon University. Early-bird tickets sold out within hours and about 750 people applied for roughly 250 places; 35 speakers took part, including eight from abroad. Sessions covered ROS 2 software architecture, Gazebo simulation, robot control, service-robot applications, integration of large language models with robots, and physical-AI imitation learning, while workshops on Open-RMF fleet management and other topics sold out. PinkLAB said the 2027 edition would offer a larger venue and dual-track sessions.
