EVENT OVERVIEW

Automate 2027 will be held May 10-13, 2027, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It is the first time the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) has taken the show to Las Vegas, outside its recent Detroit-Chicago rotation, and it moves from June to May. Show-floor registration is free and already open; conference sessions, certification exams and social events are paid, with early-bird conference pricing available until March 29, 2027. The show floor is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first three days and until 3 p.m. on May 13.

The 2026 edition at McCormick Place in Chicago set attendance records with more than 50,000 registrants and 1,230 exhibitors on 425,000 square feet, according to A3. Humanoid robots were a central theme: a new NVIDIA-sponsored Humanoid Robot Pavilion was added, and the inaugural Humanoid Robot Forum drew more than 1,100 registrants. The conference counted more than 1,600 registrants across 140-plus sessions, and Mbodi won the Startup Challenge with a platform for teaching industrial robots new tasks in natural language. Industrial AI, autonomous mobile robots, machine vision and motion control are expected to remain core categories in 2027.
