Kave Home has chosen TGW Logistics to automate its logistics hub in Tordera, Barcelona, as part of its growth strategy in the furniture sector. This highly automated fulfillment center is set to go live by the end of 2028, featuring an integrated storage and order-picking system that includes advanced technologies such as autonomous mobile robots and high-bay automated warehouses.
The project is crucial for Kave Home's operational capacity, enabling the company to manage diverse product sizes efficiently, from small packages to large bulky items. The logistics solution will consolidate goods from various areas into a unified palletizing zone, enhancing throughput and accuracy while supporting faster deliveries and a consistent omni-channel experience for customers.
With the new logistics platform, Kave Home aims to achieve a capacity of up to 21,000 packages per day and expand its storage to 93,000 pallet positions. This significant increase in operational capacity is expected to improve customer experience and support the company's international expansion efforts. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
