Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) is a manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots for internal transport in factories and warehouses, headquartered at Energivej 51 in Odense, Denmark. Founded in 2013 by Niels Jul Jacobsen, the company has been a subsidiary of the US test-equipment group Teradyne since April 2018.
The fleet spans four platforms. The MiR250 carries 250 kg at up to 2 m/s on a 580 x 800 mm footprint 30 cm high and comes in an ESD variant; MiR Hook 250 and Shelf Carrier 250 top modules add cart towing and shelf handling. The MiR600 moves up to 600 kg at 2 m/s with 10 h 45 min runtime, and the MiR1350 handles 1,350 kg at 1.2 m/s with 9 h 50 min runtime; both are IP52 rated and designed to ISO 3691-4, the MiR1350 with 13 TUV-certified safety functions. The MiR1200 Pallet Jack, introduced in 2024, delivers 1,200 kg pallets at 1.5 m/s using AI-based pallet detection. MiR Fleet manages missions, traffic and charging across mixed fleets, MiR Insights (2023) adds analytics, and the MiR Go catalog lists more than 160 partner-built top modules and applications.
MiR employs about 450 people, sells through more than 200 distributors in 60 countries and has regional offices in the United States, Germany, Spain, China, Singapore, Japan and Korea. Published customers include Ford, Denso, Stellantis and Whirlpool.
