Generative Bionics Unveils Gene.01 Robot with Touch-Sensitive 'Skin' for Enhanced Safety

Generative Bionics has introduced Gene.01, a humanoid robot that lights up upon touch, showcasing its innovative 'skin' technology. This robot features a multimodal skin capable of sensing touch, proximity, force, and temperature, enhancing human-robot interaction.

The significance of Gene.01 lies in its ability to redefine industrial safety through its intelligent skin, which allows for real-time feedback based on touch pressure. Looking ahead, Generative Bionics is collaborating with Italian shipbuilding giant Fincantieri for the first industrial deployment of Gene.01 as a welding robot.
