Company Overview

Multiway Robotics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. builds autonomous forklifts and the warehouse software that coordinates them. The team was formed in Shenzhen in April 2019 and delivered its first project, a fleet of 16 automated pallet jacks, in November of that year. Production is based in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province. The company reports more than 450 patents and software copyrights, more than 1,000 project cases, use in over 20 industries and sales into more than 40 countries and regions.

The hardware range covers most pallet-handling vehicle types converted to driverless operation: autonomous pallet trucks (X20, X20S), the OT15 omnidirectional AMR forklift, pallet stackers (MW-SL14 and the dual-fork alpha2), counterbalanced forklifts (MW-Q20, MW-SE15, MW-SE20 and the 3.5-tonne MW-E35), the MW-R16 reach truck, the MW-O20 sideloader and the MW-K16 very-narrow-aisle turret truck. The MW-K16 is rated at 1,500 kg with a standard lift height of 11,000 mm, customizable to 16,500 mm, and positions to plus or minus 10 mm. The MW-R16 lifts 1,600 kg to 9,500 mm and was, according to the company, the first reach-truck AGV to receive CE certification (2024); it also carries a TUV safety certificate. Navigation is by LiDAR, reflectors or both depending on model, and the vehicles use lithium iron phosphate batteries with automatic charging. Beyond forklifts the catalogue includes the MW-Z15 four-way shuttle with a 120 mm body height and 1,500 kg rated load, an AMR tugger, and differential-drive, cantilever roll-handling and lift-top AMRs.

On the software side the company develops its own warehouse management system (WMS), robot control system (RCS) for fleet dispatch, warehouse control system (WCS), a simulation tool and a platform called Multiway Horizons; a cloud product, Multiway Cloud, was released in 2023. Earlier product milestones include the counterbalanced MW-E series and the Multiway alpha1 stacker (2021), the latter winning a Red Dot design award in 2022, and the out-of-the-box Multiway X1 forklift (2022).

Typical deployments are high-bay and cold-chain warehouses in food, pharmaceuticals, new energy, automotive, machinery and cold-chain logistics. The company cites the Shenzhen GFS International Cold Chain intralogistics project as a flagship reference. A September 2026 case study described a Malaysian manufacturer's high-bay warehouse with more than 5,000 storage locations served by MW-K16, X20 and MW-SL14 vehicles, with storage density reported up more than 30%.

Outside China, Multiway set up subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, Japan and South Korea in 2023, with a US office and showroom in Duluth, Georgia (Atlanta area), and offices in Duisburg, Tokyo and Seoul. It entered the Czech market in 2023 and Australia, Saudi Arabia and Thailand in 2024. Product certifications listed by the company include CE, UL and KC, alongside ISO 9001 and occupational health and safety, environmental and information security management systems. It is recognised in China as a National High-Tech Enterprise and, since September 2025, a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise under the specialized, refined, distinctive and novel SME programme.

Funding has come in several rounds: Series A in December 2020 led by Meihua Venture Capital with Plug and Play, Series A+ in August 2021 led by Xintian Venture Capital, an A2 round of over RMB 100 million in February 2022 led by China Creation Ventures, a Series B of nearly RMB 200 million in December 2022 led by Huaye Tiancheng with Jinfeng Borun, and a Series B2 of over RMB 100 million in April 2025.
