Film-Ocean, a subsea ROV inspection and intervention contractor, has been recognized as the third fastest-growing company in Scotland’s renewables supply chain, according to the Scottish Renewables 50 analysis published in The Scotsman. The company reported a turnover increase of 66.3% to £28.6 million, ranking behind only Flotation Energy and Earls Gate Energy Centre among the top ten fastest growers.
This significant growth is attributed to Film-Ocean's international operations, with overseas sales nearly doubling from £9.7 million to £18.2 million. The company is now ranked 12th for exports among the 50 companies analyzed, highlighting its expanding role in the renewables sector, particularly in offshore wind projects across Europe and Asia.
Film-Ocean is set to continue its growth trajectory, with plans for its latest work-class vehicle to support a long-term project in Angola. The company aims to enhance its capabilities in subsea operations, ensuring it remains a preferred ROV partner for energy businesses globally.
