DKV Mobility Acquires Majority Stake in Tolltickets to Enhance European Toll Solutions

DKV Mobility has announced its acquisition of a majority stake in Tolltickets GmbH, a certified provider of European toll solutions based in Rosenheim, Germany. This strategic move, aimed at expanding DKV's European toll business, aligns with the growing demand for seamless cross-border mobility services as the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) continues to roll out. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year, pending regulatory approval.

The acquisition is significant as it strengthens DKV Mobility's position in the European EETS market, allowing the company to offer integrated mobility solutions and enhance customer experience across Europe. DKV Mobility's CEO, Sebastian Klauke, emphasized that this move secures a long-term position in the market and enables the company to shape the development of toll services more effectively. Tolltickets, which manages over 100,000 vehicles and offers access to toll systems in 15 European countries, will continue to operate independently.

Looking ahead, the partnership between DKV Mobility and Tolltickets is expected to deepen, providing customers with more reliable and flexible toll solutions across Europe. The collaboration builds on years of successful partnership, with both companies poised to leverage their strengths for future growth. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.

Editor's Note
