Chip 1 Exchange is a privately owned, global distributor of board-level electronic components and peripherals, founded in 2001 when industry veterans Sasan Tabib, Damon Pouya and Volkan Sanverdi merged their companies Chip 1 Technology and Fast Line Exchange. Operating as a hybrid franchise and independent distributor, the company supplies semiconductors, memory cards, rotary encoders, relays, sensors, switches and other passive and active components used across electronics manufacturing, including robotics, automation and industrial systems. Chip 1 Exchange focuses heavily on obsolete and difficult-to-locate components and offers supply-chain services such as inventory management and reduction programs tailored to original equipment manufacturers and electronic manufacturing service companies. The company maintains relationships with franchised manufacturers, independent distributors and other partners to source parts globally.
With more than 250 employees, it is active in roughly 45 countries and operates facilities in Germany, the United States, Mexico, Brazil and the Philippines; its European warehouse provides about 800 square meters of storage. The company began US operations in April 2007 and relocated its US headquarters to Fort Worth, Texas in 2019, from where it manages business across North and South America, while its original global headquarters remain in Neu-Isenburg, Germany. Chip 1 Exchange holds a range of quality and compliance certifications, including AS9120B for aerospace supply chains, ISO 9001:2015, ESD-DIN, and ITAR registration for handling defense-related components. These credentials support customers in regulated and demanding industries who require traceable, counterfeit-mitigated component sourcing.
