Cambridge Aerospace Ltd. has successfully raised $300 million in Series C funding, increasing its valuation to $3.4 billion. This funding will support the expansion of its manufacturing capabilities and the development of its next product, Starhammer, expected to launch in 2027. The company has also secured several contracts from the U.K. Ministry of Defence, including low-cost interceptors for the British Armed Forces.
This funding round, led by DFJ Growth and supported by several investors, follows a $200 million Series B round earlier this year. CEO Steven Barrett emphasized the importance of this funding in scaling manufacturing to meet the growing threats faced by allied nations. Cambridge Aerospace aims to enhance its existing products and introduce new capabilities to the market, reinforcing its position in the defense sector.
Looking ahead, the company is focused on the spiral development of its products, particularly the Skyhammer system, which has demonstrated effective interception of aerial threats. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
