Bleu Robotics, based in Paris, has successfully raised €5 million in pre-seed funding aimed at developing software that allows industrial humanoids to learn new tasks in under an hour. The funding round was led by Contrarian Ventures and OVNI Capital, with additional contributions from Kvanted, WEPA Ventures, Motier Ventures, and investor Charlie Songhurst.
This innovative approach targets workstations with frequently changing products and processes, where traditional automation solutions are often impractical. Co-founder Benoît Berkoukchi emphasized the goal of enabling factory operators to teach robots new tasks without the need for extensive engineering projects for each changeover. The training process involves operators demonstrating tasks with handheld training grippers, allowing robots to begin working shortly after.
Bleu Robotics plans to leverage its initial industrial partnerships to refine its product for regular factory use. The company aims to transition from research demonstrations to a commercially viable solution, with a focus on enhancing the capabilities of industrial robots in dynamic environments. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
