2026 World Robot Conference Highlights Growth in Embodied Intelligence Sector

The 2026 World Robot Conference, themed 'Human-Machine Symbiosis, Integration of Production and Demand', will take place in Beijing from August 19 to 23. Over 300 exhibiting companies and more than 2,000 exhibits are expected, marking a 36% increase in exhibitors and a 27% rise in exhibits compared to last year.

The embodied intelligence sector has seen a surge in interest, with numerous cross-industry players, including automotive and mobile manufacturers, entering the field. Notably, Gaode recently announced a full-stack upgrade of its Autobot system, launching five new models and achieving state-of-the-art results in 17 authoritative benchmarks, showcasing the competitive landscape.

Despite the influx of new entrants, established vertical players dominate the market, with many newcomers struggling to achieve scalable results. Analysts predict that the Chinese embodied intelligence robot market will reach 6 billion yuan by 2026, with potential growth into a trillion-level market, as major tech companies aim to capitalize on this emerging sector.

Editor's Note

The embodied intelligence market is rapidly evolving, with significant participation from established tech giants and new entrants alike. This competitive landscape highlights the importance of deep industry understanding and the ability to deliver scalable solutions. As the market matures, the dynamics between vertical players and cross-industry newcomers will shape future developments and opportunities in robotics and automation.
