This year, the competition has seen a significant increase in applications, rising to 726 from 39 countries, marking a nearly 50% increase compared to the previous year. The program aims to highlight the untapped talent in the region, with a focus on AI products, as 84% of applicants are developing AI solutions. The competition's trajectory indicates that Central Eurasia is emerging as a fast-growing startup ecosystem.
Looking ahead, the national rounds for Road to Battlefield 2026 concluded recently, with 22 startups advancing to the regional finals on August 12. The finalists will compete for a chance to represent the region at TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200. The growing number of AI-focused startups reflects a shift towards a more competitive innovation landscape in Central Eurasia.
