Latent Verse, an AI technology company focused on embodied intelligence foundational models, has successfully completed a seed funding round amounting to several hundred million yuan. Investors include Hillhouse Capital, Qingliu Capital, Inno Angel Fund, Zhiyuan, and Starry Era. The funding process took less than two months from initiation to closure.
This funding is crucial as it will primarily support the development of the UTAM model, a multimodal embodied data system, and the infrastructure for model training, as well as technical validation of robots in real-world scenarios. Founded on May 20, 2026, by a team led by Tsinghua University PhD student Hu Yucheng, Latent Verse aims to advance embodied intelligence from perception understanding to autonomous interaction and generalized execution.
Looking ahead, Latent Verse is training its first model, the Unified Tactile Action Model (UTAM), which integrates various expert modules to create a complete execution chain. The team’s long-term research in this area positions them to address the limitations of existing technological routes in the industry. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.
