Beijing embodied-AI startup building RUDA, a cross-embodiment robot model architecture, plus PhiAgent video-to-data engine and wearable data-capture devices.
LivSyn Robotics (Beijing LivSyn Robotics Co., Ltd., Chinese brand Lingsheng Technology) is a Beijing-based embodied-intelligence company that builds data infrastructure and a model stack for robot learning. The company was started in February 2023 by a team with Tsinghua University roots and is headquartered on the sixth floor of Tower B, Jinqiu International Building, in Beijing's Haidian District. Chinese press coverage of its October 2026 financing names Yang Hongbing as chief executive, a Tsinghua graduate who previously held senior algorithm roles at Baidu, served as a vice president at Tencent Cloud and was CTO of a humanoid robot company; co-founder and CTO Jiang Yuhua holds a Tsinghua PhD in automation, and Tsinghua automation professor Gao Feifei, an IEEE Fellow, is scientific adviser.
The core of LivSyn's offering is RUDA (Robotics Unified Device Architecture), a self-developed unified architecture for embodied models. RUDA is designed as a cross-embodiment foundation so that skills trained once can be deployed on different hardware forms, including humanoid robots, dexterous hands and industrial grippers, without retraining for each robot. Around it the company runs a closed loop of data collection, model training, robot execution and feedback. Two software agents sit on top: PhiAgent, an embodied data engine that converts videos of human hand operations into robot training data, skills and simulated arm trajectories; and RoboAgent, a task orchestration agent that interprets task goals, calls skills and drives robots through complete operations, which the company is extending to deformable-object tasks such as folding clothes.
On the hardware side LivSyn sells human-centred data capture devices that record demonstrations without a robot body. LivUMI is a hand-held gripper collector that records vision, pose, gripper and tactile data; LivEgo is a first-person headset that records millisecond-synchronised visual and inertial data; and LivDex is a data glove with joint encoders, near-hand vision, an IMU and full-palm touch sensing for dexterous-hand teaching. Captured data is handled by DataCube, an edge processing unit for multi-device synchronisation, inspection and storage, and by LDP, a data management platform that performs frame-level synchronisation, cleaning, deduplication and versioning. Datasets can be exported in LeRobot v2.1 and RLDS formats for VLA and other robot model training, and the company also sells data as a service.
LivSyn reports deployments in industrial settings including optical-module insertion and removal, battery assembly, 3C electronics quality inspection, factory material handling and large-component handling, and lists smart manufacturing, unmanned retail, healthcare and elderly care, research and education and cultural tourism as target fields. Organisations shown as partners or clients on its website include Innolight (Zhongji Xuchuang), BOE, COFCO, Transsion, Foxconn, Tencent Cloud, Zhipu, Yunji Technology and Tsinghua University.
The company raised Pre-A and Pre-A+ rounds announced in December 2025, from investors including Ningbo Fangzheng, Hongruida Investment and Wanwu Venture Capital, and on 8 October 2026 announced a Series A of more than RMB 100 million with participation from Huafang Capital, Daohe Changqi, listed energy-services company Suwen Electric Energy and an undisclosed strategic investor from the embodied-AI sector.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Self-developed unified embodied-model architecture that deploys skills across humanoids, dexterous hands and industrial grippers without per-robot retraining.
Converts videos of human hand operations into robot training data, skills and simulated arm trajectories.
Execution agent that interprets task goals, calls learned skills and controls robots through full operations, with feedback into training.
Data glove for dexterous-hand teaching that records hand joint motion, near-hand vision, inertial and full-palm tactile data.
Hand-held gripper collector that captures vision, pose, gripper and tactile data for robot manipulation learning without a robot body.
