Comau Validates Order Preparation Solution for Decathlon in MASTERLY Project

Comau has successfully designed and validated an order preparation solution tested within Decathlon’s e-commerce fulfillment operations as part of the MASTERLY initiative. This European project aims to transition from traditional mass production to flexible, customized manufacturing systems, utilizing Comau’s MyCo collaborative robot and advanced modular gripper.

The significance of this development lies in its ability to address evolving production challenges, such as supply chain disruptions and the need for rapid reconfiguration. The solution integrates intelligent sensors and a ROS2-based software architecture, enhancing operational flexibility and workplace ergonomics in human-centric environments.

Looking ahead, the knowledge gained from this project will contribute to the evolution of Comau’s MyCo platform and its broader portfolio of intralogistics capabilities. No further timeline was disclosed at the time of publication.

Editor's Note

The collaboration between Comau and Decathlon highlights the growing trend of integrating advanced automation solutions in e-commerce fulfillment. As companies face increasing variability in production and supply chain challenges, the adoption of intelligent robotics and modular systems becomes essential for maintaining operational efficiency and flexibility.
